- Area 23 ha / 57 acres
In limburg we talk about the golden triangle. This means the distance from the accommodation to the hotspots of show jumping. Which we all want to be located.
We often have to deal with limited land areas. That is why we would like to present you a very special object located in the north of the Netherlands. With endless pastures and space for development. This object is so unique that if you have a wish, this accommodation will meet it.
We are used to travel from the region(area) in and around kronenberg where equestrian center de peelbergen is located, towards the south. Here we are also easily drive 2 hours down south. If we look at it differently and we travel from Kronenberg to Vledder we travel the same distance only instead of heading south northwards.
Fact & Figures about this property
The property includes not only a main building, but also accommodation in the same architectural style, a field shed for machinery and straw storage, an outdoor track, an indoor walker, an indoor and an outdoor lunging circle and 23 grass paddocks. Wooded banks and a 2 km long galloping course surround the estate.
All paving on the site consists of clinkers. Due to the choice of the right building materials and the well thought-out landscape design, this company fits well into its environment. The location in the open landscape of the Wasperveense Aa basin, the small-scale wooded landscape and the sandy soil around Vledder make it the ideal environment for horse lovers.
Location and accessibility
The property is located southwest of Vledder on the edge of the Wasperveense Aa basin. It is a ten-minute drive from the A32 at Steenwijk. Thanks to its location on a national road, the property is easily accessible.
All buildings and structures on the site are built from sustainable materials and are easy to maintain. The buildings have a heat pump driven heating system. In the context of sustainability and cost savings, 150 solar panels have been placed on the roof.
Bringing all facilities under one roof is a concept that makes this development unparalleled. Apart from the 25 × 65 meter indoor track, a reception room, an office, a multifunctional room and two luxury apartments, the main building also houses thirty spacious horse boxes, eight loose stables with adjoining sand paddocks, a fully equipped blacksmith workshop, four washing units, two solariums and six fully equipped quarantine houses.
An architectural plan of three symmetrical buildings was designed for the main building. The largest and centrally located building accommodates the large indoor arena of approximately 25×65 metres. Under the other two roofs are the stables for the horses on one side and the loose stables for the breeding horses on the other.
The exterior walls are paneled with vertical oak planks, which radiate a natural atmosphere. Additional architectural elements contribute to the individual character of the buildings. For example, the ends of the roofs have been raised to a height of 12 meters, a feature that gives the building its prominent individuality, breaking the monotony of the building volumes. In addition, a loggia in this raised element at the head of the building brings light and air into the reception area and a large glass facade provides the riding school with light and air. The insulated roof consists of corrugated iron and has no breakthroughs.
Immerse yourself in the landscape
Landscape architect Ank Bleeker designed the surrounding landscape, based on the existing historical structures in the area. The old plants have been preserved as much as possible and historic wooded banks have been restored. On the south side, three new wooded benches have been created with trees and shrubs such as oak, prunus, alder, rowan, birch and holly.
Such forested banks are characteristic of basin edges, but because of the peat soil, such forested banks of yesteryear were lacking. Today, better drainage techniques allow planting of these banks, which also provides some shelter.
The design of the site for the buildings consists of a nationally representative garden with a water party, primal plants and many types of grass.
The indoor arena is located in the main building. The slope measures approximately 25 × 65 meters and is equipped with ebb and flow floors. Special features are the oak box rim and the rear wall covered with mirrors. This rear wall has an 8 meter wide opening, which can be lifted. The side walls are finished with 5 meter wide mirrors. The whole building is equipped with sound equipment, which can be controlled individually in every part of the building. Even while riding a horse, the rider can operate the sound equipment.
The outdoor arena measures approx. 80 × 40 meters and is surrounded by a beech hedge. This slope is also equipped with an ebb and flow floor. The advantages are: no mud during the wet season, no dust during the dry season and it can also be used during the freezing cold.
The property is surrounded by wooded banks and 2 kilometers of sandy paths, which offer riders, amazons and their horses relaxed riding opportunities.
The whole has 2 lunge circles, one of which is covered. Both lunging circles have a diameter of 16 meters and have an ebb and flow bottom.
The 6-horse Belebro walker with semi-open roof has a diameter of 20 meters and is equipped with double safety gates for stallions, warning flow system, automatic
